iPAL

iPAL provides the ability to control remote switching systems over the network. With iPAL, the associated costs of modems and/or phone lines is eliminated. iPAL works seamlessly with Dataprobe's A/C power control switches, Communications A/B switches , or any relay controlled system to provide remote reboot, reconfiguration or control. IPAL's eight controllable relays are matched with eight input circuits that can be used to provide positive feedback of switch status, or as independent monitoring of remote contacts, environmental sensors or equipment status.

iPAL connects to the network via 10baseT and supports TCP/IP protocols. Use your web browser, telnet client or host computer to talk to iPAL. iPAL is available as a standalone controller, or integrated into Dataprobe's remote power control units and A/B switches for a total solution. In each case, the user can name each of the iPAL units and switches for easy identification.

iPAL also provides an Out-of-Band serial PPP port for access when the network is down. That way your never out of touch with your remote locations. Internal modem options are available.

Stand Alone IO Device

This is the basic iPAL standalone controller. It provides eight contact closures and eight status/alarm inputs, and connects directly to any of Dataprobe's A/C power modules (K-12A or K-515A) or K-AB series of communication A/B switches. The EP-8 can also control any device that responds to contact closure controls, and monitor any bi-state status or alarm inputs. Dataprobe supplies a variety of environmental sensors (temperature, humidity, power loss, water damage) that can be used with iPAL. Alarms are reported via email and pager (with serial or internal modem options).
