Minimize Downtime for PoE Systems
Dataprobe Improves Network Reliability for Power Over Ethernet Systems
iBoot-PoE benefits security systems, access points and all PoE devices with automatic and cloud controlled reboot.
Allendale, NJ; January 25, 2017 — Dataprobe announces the release of the newest product in the iBoot® family of remote power control systems dedicated to improving network reliability. The iBoot-PoE brings automatic monitoring and reboot to any Power over Ethernet (PoE) device.
iBoot-PoE is perfect for anyone who is tired of the high cost of downtime in PoE systems. In addition to the lost productivity and security that system crashes can bring, the need to make a service call to do no more than restart a device makes automatic reboot a big money saver. The iBoot-PoE continually monitors the Powered Device (PD) and restarts it anytime it detects a failure.
The patent pending iBoot-PoE is perfect for cameras, access points, door systems, IP phones or any PoE gear that could benefit from improved reliability. It installs easily between the PD and the Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) and configures itself instantly in most environments. In addition to the automatic reboot capabilities the iBoot-PoE can also act as a range extender for PoE and PoE Plus systems, allowing additional distance between the PSE and PD. The iBoot-PoE can also function as a PoE injector with the addition of the optional A/C power supply.
iBoot-PoE supports gigabit Ethernet, making it ideal for deployment in creating WiFi hotspots in public spaces. It is PoE and PoE+ (802.3af/at) compliant for equipment up to 25.5 watts.
